Na Bailítheoirí Ceoil - TG4 - Wednesday 4th March 9.30pm
Na Bailítheoirí Ceoil (The Music Gatherers) is a new three-part series documenting the lives and times of the extraordinary men who went out into the highways and byways to collect Irish music from the 18th to the 20th century. Presented by music collector and musician Seán Corcoran, the series is a stunning mix of music, historical accounts and period reconstructions.
Telling the stories of famous Irish music collectors like Edward Bunting, George Petrie and Francis O’Neill, the songs and tunes from the collections are brought back to life by Seán Corcoran and other leading musicians including Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill, Róisín Elsafty, Ronan Browne, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh and Conor Byrne.

Na Bailítheoirí Ceoil begins on TG4 on Wednesday 4th March at 9.30pm.
