Shine/Seinn

Dublin City Council wishes to offer young musicians of secondary school going age, in the Dublin area, an opportunity to showcase their performance skills in a pilot series of 3 monthly events at City Wall Space, Wood Quay Venue, Civic Offices, beginning March 23rd.

Each event will be broken into two halves: firstly a limited number of selected showcase performances, and then a facilitated open session where participation by all will be encouraged.  DCC are aware that the opportunities for young people to develop their skills through performance in an alcohol free, non-competitive environment are rare in the city, and are seeking to address this lack through Shine/Seinn, which may lead to a more sustained programme in the future, in partnership with other agencies. We also hope that we can add value to this initiative by developing further performance initiatives at future civic events.

Please note the closing date for applications is February 26th.
